Full Terms and Conditions: Cancellations and Refunds

At CMHA-S/M, we strive to provide accessible, high-quality mental health education and training to support individual and community wellness. We understand that plans may change and are committed to offering flexibility where possible while maintaining the sustainability of our programming.
Cancellations Initiated by CMHA-S/M
CMHA-S/M reserves the right to cancel or reschedule training sessions due to low enrollment, facilitator illness, inclement weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation, participants will have the following options:
- Transfer your registration to a future session (within 12 months of the original event);
- Designate a substitute participant in your place (please provide advance notice of the change to the facilitator); or
- Request a full refund of the registration fee.
Cancellations Initiated by Registrants
We recognize that circumstances can change and are committed to supporting participants with flexible options, within the limits of our operational capacities.
For Open Sessions (publicly available training sessions):
- If you need to cancel, please notify us at least one week prior to the scheduled training date.
- If you are unable to attend, you may:
- Transfer your registration to a future session (must be outside the one-week cancellation window), or
- Designate another individual to attend in your place (please provide the facilitator with their name in advance).
- Cancellations made within one week of the session will incur a 50% administrative fee.
- Registrants who do not attend the session without prior notice (“no shows”) are not eligible for a refund.
For Closed Sessions (private or group bookings):
- Requests to reschedule or cancel must be made at least two weeks in advance of the session.
- Cancellations made within two weeks of the scheduled date will be subject to a 50% administrative fee.
- No shows are not eligible for a refund.
- Substitutions and rescheduling options may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Note: CMHA-S/M uses Eventbrite as our booking platform for trainings. This platform charges a 2.9% processing and 4% servicing fee. These fees are non-refundable and are considered a part of the 50% administrative fee charged for late cancellations.
