Talk Today is a program designed by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) and is one of the most comprehensive mental health/sport-related programs in Canada. Its aim is to promote the mental health of young athletes and to spread awareness about the benefits of positive mental health throughout communities across the country. Originally launched in 2014, interest in Talk Today has grown steadily both within and outside the realm of sports.
A key piece of the Talk Today program has been to educate players about mental health and suicide prevention. Every team has received mental health training specific to suicide prevention. Each team is also now linked to a CMHA Mental Health Coach, who provides support and mental health resources to individuals in need.
We hope you will join CMHA-S/M and the Sudbury Wolves at the Sudbury Arena on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. for the 5th Talk Today Awareness Game presented by Teachers Life. Visit the CMHA-S/M kiosk before the game, in between periods or on your way out to receive more information, chat with our staff representatives and write a message on a cheer card to share what mental health means to you.
Tickets are available, starting from $22.00. For ticket information, visit https://sudburywolves.com/single-game-tickets
