CMHA Sudbury/Manitoulin volunteers play a crucial role in our organization and our community. Without the dedication of volunteers, many programs offered by our branch would not be possible.
That’s why from April 23 to 29, CMHA Sudbury/Manitoulin joins organizations across the country in celebrating Canada’s 12.7 million volunteers during National Volunteer Week.
Volunteering can take many forms. At CMHAs across the country, volunteers are found working on special projects or programs, within fundraising activities such as Ride Don’t Hide, or serving on local boards. All of these activities help improve quality of life for individuals and families who are affected by mental health issues.
At CMHA Sudbury/Manitoulin, volunteers help by contributing to the well-functioning of the agency, through internal and external activities such as community events. We are also thankful to have a group of committed volunteers that serve on our Board of Directors. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and most have direct experience with mental health or mental illness, either themselves or through family members and friends.
From all of us at CMHA Sudbury/Manitoulin, thank you to the amazing volunteers we work with every day. We truly appreciate your dedication in helping us work towards good mental health for all.
